Secret Vault is a private file storage app that allows you to import and securely store photos, videos, audio files, and PDF documents on your device. The app protects access to your stored files using a PIN or Pattern lock that you set.
All files you import are managed entirely on your device — they are never uploaded to the internet or any external server.
When you choose to import a file into Secret Vault, the app makes a copy and stores it in the app's private local storage on your device. The original file in your gallery or file manager is not deleted or modified.
These files remain on your device at all times. We do not access, read, transmit, or upload your files to any server, cloud service, or third party. Local Only
The PIN or Pattern you set to protect your vault is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted externally or accessible to us. Local Only
Secret Vault uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Third Party
AdMob may collect certain device and usage information to serve relevant ads, such as your device's advertising ID and general usage patterns. This data collection is governed entirely by Google's Privacy Policy and is separate from any data the app itself handles. We do not directly collect, store, or process any advertising data ourselves.

All data in Secret Vault — including your imported files and lock credentials — is stored locally in the app's private storage on your device. This storage is sandboxed by the Android operating system, meaning other apps cannot access it.
The app does not require an internet connection to function. No data is ever transmitted to Karakoram Systems or any third party by the app itself.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties, with the following exception:

For importing files, the app uses Android's built-in system file picker instead of requesting broad storage access. This means you explicitly choose each file you want to import — the app never has access to your entire storage or gallery.
No other sensitive permissions such as camera, contacts, or location are requested or used by the app.
Secret Vault is intended for users aged 18 and above. The app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Because we do not collect or store your data on our servers, there is no data held by Karakoram Systems that can be requested or deleted remotely.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Any updates will be reflected by a new Effective Date at the top of this document.
